China –
with my Brownie
I have always been fascinated with the culture, mystery and intrigue that China afforded my imagination. These photographs are the result of my first trip to China. Using an old 1954 Kodak Brownie tourist camera I have owned since childhood I went about touring Hong Kong and parts of mainland China recording the mystery of the culture and environment that I witnessed. I chose this non-adjustable antiquated camera because I knew it would yield mysterious and somewhat undefined results propagating what my imagination presented and affording me freedom to become more immersed in the culture while photographing. This was my first trip to China. Carl
Corey – November 2007
