Lady Fuyu (A Mistress of Yoshinaka)

There are a couple of stories as to how she became a mistress of Yoshinaka.  (1) She was awarded by the Emperor to Yoshinaka as part of a reward for getting rid of the Heike from the Court or (2) Yoshinaka may have plundered her from one of the nobles.  Lady Fuyu was 17 years and was said to have been as beautiful as a spring flower but her presence as sad as winter.  It is said that she poisoned herself to death after Yoshinaka’s demise.
