Empress Kenreimon-in (80th Empress) 1155-1213

She was the daughter of Lord Kiyomori.  At the age of 17 she married the 80th Emperor - only 11 years old - and gave birth to Emperor Antoku at the age of 23.  When she was 27 years old, she fled from Kyoto.  At the age of 29, the Heike were defeated; Kenreimon-In and her mother holding Antoku in her arms, attempted to commit suicide by drowning themselves.  Kenreimon-In was saved by a Genji and found solace in religion by becoming a nun.  She saw both Heaven and Hell.
