Lady Masako Hohjo (Wife of Yoritomo)

The daughter of Commander Hohjo who was a Heike and the warden during Yoritomo’s exile.  She murdered her fiancé, a notable Heike, and ran to Yoritomo at the age of 17.  Japanese people in later years tended to regard her as an evil woman, but she sustained the recently born feudal government after Yoritomo’s death, and was given the nickname “The General Nun”.
