Lady Shizuka (A Mistress of Yoshitsune)

She was touted as the best Shira-byoshi; a female dancer/singer dressed like a male aristocrat and hired to perform for the nobles at their parties.  Shizuka was the only one to follow Yoshitsune when he was banished by Yoritomo.  She was later captured by Yoritomo’s army when Yoshitsune disappeared into a mountain where females were prohibited.  Shizuka became the symbol of eternal love.
