Lord Yorimasa (A Commander of the Genji)

He was the one survivor of the Genji commanders in the Imperial court where the Heike’s control was at its peak and was called ‘The Man of Perseverance’.  He was an expert in archery and was said to have shot a ghost; he was also famous for his poems.  His failed rebellion at the age of 77 inspired the then banished Yoritomo to gather the scattered Genji Clan to uprise and revolt.
