Commander Yoshitsune (Yoritomo’s Half Brother)
Yoshitsune is the most beloved folk hero in Japanese history. He was a genius in war strategy and was called the “Warrior God”. Yoshitsune was the main reason for the fall of the Heike. Yoritomo was jealous of Yoshitsune’s popularity and had him banished from the capital. After living as a fugitive for several years, Yoshitsune eventually killed himself in a fire when the host of his residence betrayed him by informing his enemies of his whereabouts.
