Artist's Statement:

I am interested in man in general. My work can be considered as a kind of universal portrait. What I always paint is actually such a humanity. However, the more I create heads, the less I understand those people. When someone asks me how I paint, I answer: "It seems that I am fighting in a manner in order to complete the work quickly. I began to paint in this manner when I first arrived in France. At the time, I did restaurant work, for which I had to be fast and mobile. This needs the same kind of training as learning to paint." I believe one must betray one's own decisions. In painting, treason plays a major role. There is no opening without treason.
