Faces - Places

Paintings of Feng Zhengquan

May 13 - May 29, 2004

Using the canvas and monochrome blue, Feng Zhengquan explores the comical side of people under pressure, and in his case, actual physical pressure.

One observer gave these paintings another name: “Getting too bored in front of the copying machine”.

Born in Sichuan in 1976, Zhengquan received proper training in the Education Department of the Sichuan Academy of Fine Art. He is among many of the young artists now living and working in Beijing.  He will also be showing his new format of landscape paintings in the coming exhibition.

'Faces – Places' opens at Art Beatus Exchange Square Podium, on May 13.
