The Trace of Flash

  Ink Paintings of Ban Wei

April 11-30, 2013

Artist will be in attendance in the opening on April 11 (Thursday), 2013, 6pm - 8pm

Ban Wei’s ink paintings are configurations of free flowing human torsos laden with graphic symbols, familiar and otherwise. Creating his paintings with both hands working at the same time, Ban says that the two brushes together balance his creative world and form the oneness that he strives for.

Ban states that his creative process ends when he finishes the delineation of his inspirations and it is up to the viewers to form their own interpretations upon interacting with his works.

This exhibition is Ban Wei’s first solo in Hong Kong after he immigrated to Canada some 20 years ago.  He is tracing his ink paintings back to the origin of his life.

The Trace of Flash exhibition is to open on April 11th , 2013.   For further information or interview with the artist, you can contact us at dyiu@artbeatus.com.hk  or call Dominic Chan at 2522-1138 or Josephine Hau at 2526-0818.
