Artist's statement:

My work deals with our unintentional misunderstanding of different religious beliefs, cultures and traditions, as they are viewed from contemporary and orthodox perspectives. In an attempt to strike a psychological balance, I seek to express both a sociological clash as well as an idealistic/humanistic world view. The "Footprint" expresses the idealistic aspect of my work.

The surface of the stone island of "Footprint" is embossed with circles of footprints of individuals of various ages. Ink water flows over the surface of the stone island, and canvas covers the floor of the exhibition space. Over time, the canvas accumulates the footprints of the viewers who walk on the stone island. These footprints are a testimony to a human commonality that denies our assumed differences
