An Online Showcase of Official
Art Posters for the
2006 FIFA World Cup Germany
This
series of official art posters were
originally exhibited in 2006 at Art
Beatus (Hong Kong) from March 30 -
April 21, 2006, and at Art Beatus
(Vancouver) from February 13 - May 26,
2006. On the 20th anniversary of those
exhibitions, as well as in celebration of
Vancouver as one of the host cities of the
2026 FIFA World Cup, Art Beatus
(Vancouver) is showcasing these art
posters once again (online only).

Chinese artists, the Luo Brothers,
represented by Art Beatus, were one
of 14 international finalists who were
selected to create official posters for the
2006 FIFA World Cup Germany. The
other internationally renowned artists were
from Germany (Andreas Gurskey,
Markus Lupertz, Norbert Bisky,
Rosemarie Trockel, and
Tobias Rehberger), Great Britain (Michael
Craig-Martin and Tim Ayres),
Japan (Tenmyouya Hisashi), Ghana (Kwesi
Owusu-Ankomah), Nigeria (Toyin Loye),
Brazil (Beatriz Milhazes), the United
States (Sarah Morris), and Australia
(Jess MacNeil). With their artwork,
the artists represented their home countries
and continents at the 2006 FIFA World
Cup. The original works for the event
were on display at the German Parliament
House in Bundestag, Berlin during the
opening of the football games.
